The Samson Shad is an extremely versatile and effective underwater lure designed to imitate a fleeing or injured baitfish.
The lure can be used with different actions and speeds depending on the conditions or target fish species.
A slow to medium retrieve with light taps on the rod tip creates a nice underwater walk-the-dog action, where the lure is moved irregularly from side to side.
Alternatively, you can also try a stronger pull on the rod tip with a short pause to imitate a fleeing baitfish - a particularly effective method in open waters where fish cannot resist the chase.
When the Shad is ripped through the water, you can feel the vibration of the line up to the rod tip. The strong impulses send strong distress signals to the predatory fish.
When you lead the lure with the rod tip down, the Shad stays below the surface. A longer pause and a countdown allow the lure to sink down, so you can fish across the water column.
Often, fish strike the lure while it is sinking.
If you are fishing in shallow, rocky areas, simply raise the rod tip to increase the retrieve speed and let the lure splash to the surface when you pass over particularly shallow areas to avoid snagging.
The Shad is extremely easy to handle and suitable for a variety of fish species.
•Strong hooks - treble belly and tail hooks.
•Continuously wired with high-strength materials.
•High-quality tackle and fittings
•Weighted for good action below the water surface and good casting distance.
•Practically indestructible lures, suitable for fishing near sharp rocks and toothy pelagic fish.
