Rod Bond is a pasty rod building adhesive with very high strength and offers all the properties one expects from a rod building adhesive, in addition to its long lifespan. The adhesive mixes well, does not run, and provides high strength after curing. Quick-Bond bonds all materials used in rod building, such as carbon, fiberglass, bamboo, cork, rigid foam, wood, aluminum, nickel, nylon, etc. It is also ideal for bonding cork and Duplon rings.
The gel is mixed in a volume ratio of 1:1 and does not require additional fillers, which means that the permanent strength is not negatively affected while maintaining appropriate flexibility. Due to its pasty consistency, the adhesive is very easy to work with, and irregularities in the components to be bonded are easily compensated for, while the adhesive does not shrink during curing and does not form cracks. After curing, the adhesive can be drilled, sanded, and painted.
The adhesive is fully cured after about 24 hours.
