The blanks of the Grafighter series are among the best that Calstar currently has to offer and show no weaknesses in terms of durability, longevity, and performance. The graphite-colored blanks with a slightly translucent matte finish are made from a continuous graphite/E-glass composite material from the tip to the handle and, despite their relatively low weight, have sufficient reserves to land any fish without any problems.
Calstar is one of the most experienced manufacturers of big-game blanks based in California. The range extends from super-robust E-glass tuna rods to trolling rods with enormous power reserves to the rods of the Grafighter series for stand-up fishing and power jigging of the highest class. The manufacturer enjoys an excellent reputation in the big-game scene due to its extraordinarily robust and reliable blanks. Even Japanese premium jigging rods are made from these blanks.
