The very lightweight arbor made of semi-porous polyurethane is an ideal medium for underlaying split reel seats (SK2 or similar) due to its low weight and high strength. The hardness of the material results in high sensitivity during bites and lure guidance. The open porosity in combination with an epoxy adhesive provides an optimal bond. Using a round file or a reamer, the bore can be relatively easily adjusted to the respective blank diameter.
